Wedding seating chart & guest planner
Draw your hall, then seat every wedding guest
The room at its real size, the tables where you want them, and every guest with a seat - in the browser, both of you, on the same plan.
Free for couples. Guest mode keeps the plan on this device, so sign in later to save it.
The hall at its real size
Set the room to its actual metres, and every table you drop in is the size it will be on the day. Measure the gap between two tables, or from the top table to the dance floor, and you get the number the venue will read back to you.
Rooms that aren't rectangles
An L-shaped room, or a bay window along one wall. Draw the outline point by point and the hall matches the room you booked - then add a second hall for the floor above it.
Also in there
The guest list you already keep
Bring the guest list in from CSV or XLSX. The wizard asks which column is the name, which is the diet, and which is the table.
A table plan you can hand over
Print the seating plan for the venue, and the guest list with diets next to the names for the kitchen. It opens your browser's print dialog.
Your partner, your mum, your planner
Send an invite link and they work on the same plan. They see your latest changes when the page loads.
What is still left to do
A to-do list with dates, kept beside the plan. It does not notify you - it waits for you to open it.
An assistant, on your own API key
Ask it to lay out the hall, add tables or seat a family, and watch it happen. You bring the key, so you pay your provider, not us.
More than one room
A second hall for the ceremony, or the floor above the reception. They sit side by side on the same plan.
How to seat your wedding guests
- 1
Draw the hall
Type in the room's metres, then place the tables, the dance floor and the bar.
- 2
Add your guests
Type them in, or bring in the list you already keep in a spreadsheet.
- 3
Seat everyone
Drag each guest to a seat until nobody is left standing, then print the plan.
Your hall is a blank page until you draw it
Guest mode needs no account and no card. The plan stays on this device until you sign in.
Questions about the wedding seating planner
- How do I lay out the tables and seat the guests?
- Tables first: the top table where the whole room can see it, the dance floor close to it, and a walkway between tables for the staff - you can measure the gap on the plan in metres. Then the guests: close family first, then groups who know each other, and single guests last. Anyone without a seat yet waits on the list.
- Is the wedding table plan app free?
- Yes, it is free for couples. It runs online in your browser, so there is nothing to install. You can start without an account - guest mode keeps the plan on this device - and sign in later to save it.
- Can I import my guest list from Excel?
- Yes. The planner reads XLSX and CSV files with a header row. The wizard asks which column is the name, the diet and the table. If a table name matches a table on the plan, the guest is seated there straight away.
- Can I print the table plan?
- Yes - the seating plan for the venue, and the guest list with diets for the kitchen. You can also export the guest list to CSV.
- Can we plan the seating together?
- Yes. Send your partner, your parents or your wedding planner an invite link, and you all work on the same plan.
Do you run a wedding venue?
Couples plan on a model of your real hall, and your team gets the seating plan and the diets in print before the event.
