What's new

Every release of easywed., newest first.

v1.1.4

A steadier logo

A small visual fix in the planner header.

  • The easywed logo and name in the planner header now line up properly - the name used to sit a touch lower than the mark beside it.
v1.1.3

A tidier canvas

One small change to the planner: the minimap now stays out of the way until you actually need it.

  • The minimap in the corner of the planner only appears once you zoom in. When the whole venue already fits on screen, there's nothing to navigate, so it no longer covers part of the layout.
v1.1.2

Easier to find

The planner hasn't changed. The landing page has - so that people looking for a wedding seating chart actually end up on it.

  • The landing page now answers the common questions: how to lay out the tables and seat the guests, whether the app is free, whether it reads a guest list from Excel, whether you can print the table plan, and whether two of you can plan together.
  • The landing page headings now say plainly what this is - a wedding guest planner and seating chart - instead of only hinting at it.
v1.1

Plainer words

No new features this time. The planner works exactly as it did - we rewrote the words on it.

  • Every screen got read again, from the first sign-in to the assistant's replies. Buttons say what they do, errors say what happened and what to do next, and the Polish reads like Polish rather than a translation of the English. Nothing moved and nothing got renamed.
  • The landing page used to show a drawing of the planner. Now it shows the planner itself - three short loops of a real hall being measured, reshaped, and reseated.
v1.0

We launched!

easywed. is a seating planner for your wedding. Draw the hall, put the tables where you want them, sit everyone down - in the browser, together with your other half, no spreadsheet anywhere. Here is what the first version can do.

  • Draw your hall to size, then drag in round and rectangular tables and say how many people fit at each one. The dance floor, the bar and anything else in the room go in the same way.
  • Your whole guest list lives in one place, dietary needs included. Drag a guest onto a seat or pick one from a list, and the progress bar keeps reminding you how many people are still standing.
  • Already have the list in a spreadsheet? Bring it in from CSV or XLSX - the wizard asks which column is which and matches table names to the tables you have already drawn. It goes back out too: a flat file you can re-import, or a tidy report grouped by table.
  • Not sure where to start? Ask the assistant to lay out the hall, add a few tables or seat some people, and watch it happen in front of you.
  • Send an invite link to your partner, your mum or your planner, and you are all working on the same plan.
  • Reminders keep hold of everything still left to do, and the seating report prints clean enough to hand out - to the venue, to the florist working out which table gets which arrangement, and to the kitchen, with vegan, gluten-free and the rest written next to the names, so every plate goes to the right seat.
  • You can try all of it without signing up - guest mode keeps the plan on your device - and sign in later to save it to the cloud. In Polish and English, with three colour themes.
